Participant Waiver and Release of Liability
By completing my registration for the 2026 ALDHA Annual Gathering, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
• Voluntary participation — I am choosing to attend the ALDHA Gathering and any related activities, including optional hikes and off‑site tenting.
• Assumption of risk — I understand that outdoor activities and camping involve inherent risks such as uneven terrain, weather, wildlife, and physical exertion. I accept responsibility for my own safety.
• Release of liability — I release ALDHA, its officers, volunteers, event organizers, Gettysburg College, and the owners/managers of the off‑site tenting area from claims or liabilities arising from my participation, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
• Personal responsibility — I will follow event guidelines and any rules set by Gettysburg College or the off‑site tenting location. I am responsible for my own gear, belongings, and health needs.
• Medical care — I understand that ALDHA does not provide medical services and that I am responsible for any medical costs resulting from illness or injury.
• Photography — I grant ALDHA permission to use non‑commercial photos or videos from the event unless I notify ALDHA in writing.
By completing this registration, I confirm that I have read and agree to this waiver and that I am participating at my own risk.
